MUKILTEO — A California woman was arrested Monday morning at a Mukilteo hotel for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend.
The 28-year-old man suffered a stab wound to his hand and needed stitches, according to Mukilteo police.
Officers found a confusing scene when they were called to a disturbance just after 5 a.m. at the Extended Stay America along Harbour Pointe Boulevard SW.
They found the woman, 28, in a hotel room with a trail of blood on the floor, officer Colt Davis said.
The woman told them she had been assaulted but gave little other info.
Within the hour, a local hospital called 911 to report a man being treated for a stab wound to the hand. He was released.
Officers later were able to find the man and his sister at the same hotel. Investigators determined that his girlfriend was the attacker. She was booked for investigation of assault and is due for a first court appearance Tuesday.
