EVERETT — A man is behind bars this week after he reportedly attacked a woman in a bathroom at an Everett restaurant.
Just before midnight Sunday, Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies were called to the Ay Chihuahua restaurant and bar on 128th Street SW, sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said. The restaurant is in a strip mall south of Everett.
A woman told deputies that a man had attacked and choked her inside a bathroom stall, court records show. She told them she nearly lost consciousness before breaking free.
The man attempted to run out of the restaurant, but he was grabbed and held by an security guard until deputies arrived, records show.
Ignacio Fierro Sifuentes, 31, of Everett, was later booked into Snohomish County Jail for investigation of second-degree assault with sexual motivation. Bail was set at $250,000. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers also placed a hold on him so his immigration status can be determined.
