BOISE, Idaho — Police in Boise say a woman who was struck by a pickup truck in a mall parking lot last week was likely targeted because she had stopped the driver from sexually assaulting another woman.
Police say the man pulled his pickup behind a woman’s car on May 14, got in the car and began to sexually assault her. A woman nearby heard her screams and asked if she needed help.
The suspect stopped the assault and got back in his pickup. It appeared he intentionally swerved to hit the second woman. The woman is recovering from serious injuries to her leg and hip.
Officers are still looking for the suspect, who was driving a 1997 teal GMC pickup with silver trim along the bottom and a teal bed cover.
