MARYSVILLE – A Granite Falls woman was treated at Providence Everett Medical Center’s Colby Campus Thursday after she lost control of her car when an unknown object shattered the passenger-side window.
Charity R. Doty, 19, suffered back injuries, according to the Washington State Patrol. She was released from the hospital after treatment.
Her 1991 Geo Tracker was southbound in the left lane of I-5 near the Marysville-Tulalip exit when something shattered the window. She lost control of the car, which struck a concrete barrier, spun around and came to rest facing east, the State Patrol said. The car then caught on fire.
