BELLINGHAM — Police in Bellingham, Washington, say a woman walked up to two men sitting on a sidewalk, stabbed one of them in the leg and left.
The Bellingham Herald reported that the men in their 20s told police they did not know the woman, she said nothing and there was no prior confrontation early Monday. Sgt. Jason Monson says the knife was described as a 3-inch, fixed blade model. A 27-year-old man was taken to a hospital with a small thigh laceration.
Monson says police arrested a 27-year-old woman a few minutes later for investigation of assault. She denied stabbing anyone. In a dumpster, police found a knife similar to the one the men described.
