EVERSON — The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office says a woman who lived at the Everson home where a man was shot to death is a suspect.
The 46-year-old woman is jailed in Bellingham for investigation of unlawful possession of a firearm.
Sgt. Kevin Hester told The Bellingham Herald detectives are still trying to determine whether the death Monday of 48-year-old Mark G. McCollum was accidental or intentional. He was shot in the chest with a shotgun.
