TACOMA — Tacoma police say a woman was shot and killed this morning outside an apartment building near the city’s downtown area.
Police spokesman Mark Fulghum said the victim died at the scene shortly after the 6 a.m. shooting. He said a man was seen fleeing from the area, but a police dog was unable to find him.
The crime scene in the 500 block of South 7th Street was closed off while police investigated.
