SEATTLE — Seattle police have arrested a 62-year-old man after a woman was found with her throat slashed in the South Lake Union neighborhood.
The Seattle Times reported an officer was alerted to a possibly intoxicated woman near Mercer Street and Boren Avenue North early Friday morning.
The officer found the woman critically injured and unable to speak.
Through handwritten notes, police say she directed them to the suspect who was found covered in blood in a parked van nearby. The man was booked into King County jail on investigation of assault.
Police say the woman was taken to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.
