Islamic militants in South Waziristan fired dozens of rockets at two military posts, an official said Friday. Militants suspected of links with al-Qaida and local tribesmen sympathetic to the Afghan Taliban militia operate there. No injuries were reported. In the first attack, 12 rockets landed near a mountaintop security post near Shakai. Several hours later, about 15 rockets slammed into a field near another post in Landi Noor village in Shakai, the official said. Troops fired back with assault rifles but the attackers were not believed to have been hurt.
