Wright appointed to Snohomish County Council

EVERETT — The Snohomish County Council named Stephanie Wright as its newest member this afternoon.

The four council members were unanimous.

The District 3 position on the County Council includes Lynnwood, Edmonds, Woodway and surrounding areas. The job pays $102,779.05 per year.

Former County Councilman Mike Cooper, a Democrat, left the seat on July 23 to become Edmonds mayor.

Today, the County Council interviewed three nominees picked by the Snohomish County Democratic Party to serve out Cooper’s term into 2011.
