The YMCA of Snohomish County hosted a community Zumbathon on Jan. 13 and raised $2,000 for the YMCAs in Puerto Rico. More than 75 people and 18 instructors from all six YMCA branches participated in the event, which took place at the Marysville YMCA.
The San Juan and Ponce YMCAs in Puerto Rico are resource centers and play an integral part in the recovery process in their communities. The money raised will help those YMCAs provide meals, child care, and safe spaces.
