YAKIMA — Yakima County Prosecutor Jim Hagarty has apologized for his drunken-driving arrest and says he’s ready to accept the consequences.
Hagarty was arrested by the Washington State Patrol on Tuesday evening after a rear-end collision in Selah.
In a statement Wednesday Hagarty says he cooperated fully and was released to his lawyer.
He says, “I sincerely regret this unfortunate incident and am thankful that no one was injured.”
Hagarty also says he regrets his lack of judgment and apologizes to the citizens of Yakima County.
He says, “I stand ready to accept responsibility and the consequences of my actions and to deal with my personal issues.”
