It may be spring, but winter continues to linger like a house guest who has overstayed his welcome — by about a month.
Snow fell in Granite Falls and Monroe Thursday morning, city officials said. It could be seen on roof and car tops in Granite Falls.
That doesn’t surprise meteorologists with the National Weather Service in Seattle.
“There is a convergence zone up there and we did have wet snow in our forecast,” meteorologist Dennis D’Amico said. “It’s definitely possible. We have a cold air mass overhead.”
