The YWCA of Seattle, King, Snohomish relies on many donors and volunteers who help make the Christmas season bright for its Pathways to Women Shelter.
Advent Lutheran Church of Mill Creek provided the shelter with 25 Christmas food baskets this year.
Local business Symetrix, which provides many things for the shelter throughout the year, put on a holiday party for families, including a meal, activities for the kids, stockings, new coats, small gifts for the moms and a photo booth.
Santa was able to pay a visit thanks to Hands For Helping in Edmonds.
Earlier in the season, Millennia Ministries of Mill Creek provided Thanksgiving baskets for YWCA clients. The group also provided stockings full of small toys and gifts for YWCA families, as they have for many years.
“We have an extremely generous community,” said Vicki Von Stubbe, community affairs manager at the YWCA. “We have many other congregations, businesses and individuals who support us on a regular basis, and we are so thankful.”
