TACOMA — Two men are facing federal murder charges in the death of a woman on Joint Base Lewis-McChord.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office charged Bobbie Anson Pease, 49, of Tacoma, and Jeremy Jay Warren, 30, of Forks, in a complaint unsealed Monday. They are accused of beating a 34-year-old single mother, Jessica Shaunti Jackson, with a baseball bat and shooting her three times in the head. Her body was found in Spanaway, on a wooded part of the base.
The complaint does not allege a clear motive for the killing, but says both men acknowledged involvement. Court records did not indicate if either had obtained a lawyer.
Authorities said neither defendant was enlisted in the military.
