SEDRO-WOOLLEY — Two men died and two women were injured when an SUV with four people inside crashed near Sedro-Woolley in northwestern Washington.
The Washington State Patrol said 30-year old Jonathon Egleston lost control of a GMC Yukon at about 11 p.m. Friday just north of Sedro-Woolley while traveling at high speed and hit a power pole.
Police said Egleston, of Sedro-Woolley, wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene. Jason Swanson, 24, also of Sedro-Woolley, was also pronounced dead at the scene.
Two 18-year-old women in the vehicle were taken to local hospitals.
Police said Egleston lost control of the vehicle on a curve while driving south on Highway 9. The vehicle hit the power pole and then a cement barrier.
