SPOKANE — A former assistant football coach at Spokane’s Ferris High School has been charged with a series of federal sex crimes, including sex trafficking, enticing and production of child pornography.
Charles J. Eglet was originally charged in state court last year.
But The Spokesman-Review reported that Eglet is now facing six federal charges.
According to the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association, Eglet was an assistant football coach at Ferris in 2017 and 2018.
Last August, Spokane Public Schools said Eglet was not a teacher and had “limited supervised duties related to the football program.”
Eglet has pleaded not guilty to the new federal charges and trial was set for July 15.
