DAVENPORT — A small wildfire has disrupted traffic on I-90 in both directions west of the Spokane suburb of Medical Lake.
The Washington State Patrol says one lane of westbound I-90 remains open. All lanes of eastbound I-90 were closed Monday afternoon and traffic was diverted into the town of Cheney.
The Silver Lake fire was first reported Monday afternoon.
Meanwhile, a wildfire burning near Davenport has destroyed six structures and seven outbuildings. The state Department of Natural Resources on Monday updated the destructiveness of the Angel Springs Fire.
The agency previously said the 7 square mile fire had destroyed two structures. The higher number is the result of better access to burned areas, and does not represent new losses.
The fire is 15 percent contained.
