April Berg is the kind of elected House representative we need for the 44th Legislative District. She has that rare combination. April really listens and works to inform herself and others. She developed a weekly “Kitchen Table Conversations” webpage discussing issues of the week with qualified professionals in the field of education, small businesses, housing and homelessness, environmental priorities, a conversation on policing and race relations with her brother who is a police officer in Washington, D.C.
Her family, work and volunteer experiences are also varied and have broadened her personal growth and insights. April has been a small business owner and an aerospace program manager, and a volunteer on the Mill Creek Planning Commission. April’s role as director on the Everett School Board, determining school policies and programs, mesh with her strong support of a quality education for all children. Even April’s recent car accident gave her further empathy and insight into understanding the effects of the other driver’s drug abuse, the rising costs and importance of having health care, plus the significance of job security.
Some of her admirable qualities are her calm demeanor, her optimism, her thoughtfulness, her willingness to consider innovative ways to approach an issue, her desire to understand opposing views. She has the experience and the wisdom. Please give April your vote! A convenient ballot drop box is located for all voters near you. She is an exceptional candidate and will make an outstanding representative for our 44th LD. Thank you.
