I’m feeling outraged over this — my daughter’s teacher for U.S. history made the 7th graders in his class look up what he considered important facts about the tragedy of 9/11. One of the questions was that they tell him the names of all the hijackers. Really. The names of the hijackers. I am appalled. I don’t understand why out of all the many possible questions that would lead a student to a deeper understanding of that tragic day, that learning the names of the filth who perpetrated the crime is important.
Other questions included: “How many wives did Osama Bin Laden have? How many brothers and sisters? What were Bin Laden’s complaints about U.S. troops?”
