I just want to give a truly heartfelt “thank you” to the Animal Liberation Front for its actions on Aug. 25, when they rescued thousands of mink from their horrendous existence at a local farm.
I was thankful to them when I drove to work the next morning and counted at least 10 of those lucky animals splattered on U.S. 2. At least their carcasses were feeding the crows.
I was thankful to them when I imagined the fate of those fortunate animals when they wandered into backyards containing people’s pet dogs.
I was thankful to them when I thought about the mink encountering coyotes in the area, or any other predators.
I would sure like to hear how these circumstances better served the mink than their lives on the farm where at least they were fed, watered and looked after.
Thank you, again.
