A hijacking, not a victory

George W. Bush did not win the election; he hijacked it, with the help of five rogue justices on the U.S. Supreme Court who trampled on the rights of Florida voters like a herd of wild elephants. To call protesting Gore supporters “sore losers” (as some Bush supporters are bound to do) is like calling a family whose house has been plundered by burglars “sore losers.” This is a sad day for fair play. Remembering the promises Bush made to his rich friends during the campaign, we can be assured that he has just begun to rob us.
