A recent letter to the Herald regarding the soul-sucking effect of standardized testing on students was spot on. In fact, it inspired the following limerick:
There once was a standardized test.
All the law-makers thought it was best,
To pull kids out of class,
Collect data en masse.
When will they give it a rest?
