I had the distinct pleasure of serving with Carolyn Eslick on the Sultan City Council for six years. She demonstrated an exceptional ability to understand the issues and consistently acted in a manner that was in the best interests of all the citizens of Sultan. She approached her responsibilities as an elected official seriously, and developed a strong understanding of transportation, public safety, public works, and governmental finance. This is knowledge that is desperately needed in Olympia.
Eslick was the owner and operator of the highly successful Dutch Cup Restaurant for 20 years, which accurately illustrates her remarkable management ability. She has been a tireless community activist, working with the Sky Valley Resource Center, Safe Stop, Chamber of Commerce, Sultan Education Foundation, Downtown Merchants Association, and the Sultan Food Bank. She has also served on the Snohomish Health District Board of Diectors and the statewide Small Business Improvement Council. All of this participation shows her genuine interest in our citizens.
The Legislature is faced with complex and difficult challenges and Carolyn Eslick is the person we can count on. Your vote for Carolyn Eslick on Sept. 17 is a vote for responsible and proven leadership.
