After all the years we have had elections doesn’t it seem odd that we can put a man on the moon and yet we can’t devise a system to, in essence, say one and one is two?
Another election will be contested as flawed, just as all the others. Dino Rossi thought the system was great after the first two counts but said it was flawed after the third count. It seems like flawed is flawed. First, second or third. They have turned what we proclaim to be our ability to speak through the ballot box into a not-too-funny joke.
Learning to count should be the number one requirement of schooling. We don’t seem to have a handle on it so far. Remember the cliche, “We shall call them wheels as all they seem adept at is running in circles”?
