This is in response of letters published Sept. 21, “Don’t let tragedy turn us forward war” and “Please, let us speak of peace, not war”:
America is the most powerful nation in the world. Let’s keep it that way.
Terrorists have declared war on America. We have been an example of peace. Through the embassy bombings in Africa where many American lives were lost, through the World Trade Center bombing in ‘93, rr even the Locherbie 747 incident in ‘88, the list of terrorist attacks goes on and on. An all-out war against terrorism is long overdue.
If anyone thinks these terrorists would not use nuclear or biological weapons if they were at their disposal, they have their head in the sand too long. There is a way to avoid casualties. The extremist political parties that harbor these barbarians can hand them over for justice and dismantle their terrorist training facilities. Any blood that is shed from here on out is on the hands of these extremist parties.
If we do nothing, the only bloodshed will be that of thousands more Americans. Can anyone actually believe that there are not many more terrorist attacks planned or in planning as you read this letter?
God bless America!
