As you may know, it’s Super Bowl Sunday. The Herald’s Kirby Arnold reports on the party scene around the game. Among the options, it was $1,100 to hang out with P. Diddy and Nick Lachey. That’s two for the price of one.
Or you could’ve spent $1,000 to party with Pamela Anderson. In a way, that’s also two for the price of one.
During halftime, a Woodinville woman says, she and her husband will be on the field, “pretending to cheer for Tom Petty.”
That begs today’s trivia question: When was the last time Tom Petty needed pity applause? (Answer: elementary school spring concert, 1961).
Wick on Wine chimes in with some higher-class beverages to sip with your chips and guacamole during the game.
Of course, his column is all moot if you’ve already purchased your Eau de Michelob.
If the game doesn’t go your way, there’s something to look forward to: a Happiness Fair this week at Everett Community College. It’s part of a growing field in college — the study of what makes people happy.
It’s really nothing new. Happiness has been the most popular course of study at The Evergreen State College since 1967.
