What is the matter with the world these days? For the Snohomish School District to punish the seniors for their destructive behavior by not allowing them to attend graduation is the least action that should be taken.
These are seniors that are going to go out in our world and are supposed to be functioning adults and carry on in society. I can hardly believe that even one parent can have the audacity to complain. What kind of instruction have these children had growing up? That it’s OK to deface and destruct property that hard-working taxpayers pay for? That it’s OK to get behind the wheel of a car that doesn’t belong to them? To throw dead animals around? Where, may I ask, do the words “senior prank” fit into this? How about common sense?
This is a lesson for the upcoming students! This is a lesson in life. Kids nowadays have no respect for anything.
Every day I hear of the destruction of a beautiful building and grounds at a school. Broken fixtures. Plants smashed and torn out. Disgusting garbage and de-facing. No respect for how beautiful and lucky they are to be there.
If this ever happened in my family, my senior would not even attend the senior party. They wouldn’t be driving my car provided for them and they would have to pay back society by hours of community service. Or better yet, send them on one of those fancy all-inclusive trips to third world countries, leave them there and make them attend school in a grass shack with a dirt floor.
