Bravo! The Herald’s editorial “Freedom actions cowardly” on Sept. 17 hits home.
I will add that their actions are as despicable as the looters trying to take advantage of individuals and businesses working to recover, the deplorable persons running bogus charity drives in an attempt to prosper from this horrific attack, and others who are not engaged in acts of unity and caring.
We need efforts that will unite us – not divide us. I hope the latest pitiful act will finally show the backers’ stupidity and supporters will put an end to their ill-fated movement. Enough already!
To the individual who called in a bomb threat to the county courthouse recently – you are equally appalling. My hope is that you are apprehended for this cowardly act so you are unable to hide behind a faceless telephone call.
Finally, as we get back to our busy lives, may we all take a moment each day to remember the victims and their families and those involved in the rescue effort.
