I’m thoroughly sick and tired of teachers, district officials (including newly elected) and some obnoxious parents using the legal system to take punches and jabs at each other. What this all boils down to is simple: Teachers in Marysville received a golden spoon by being the highest paid in the state. The district has been trying to collect funds that are needed for new schools. The parents are upset that the kids are learning in portables and not inside the school itself.
This all spells “blame game.”
The results of this are: extended classes through mid-July, cancellation of many summer time activities, limited summertime relaxation prior to the start of another school year and increased costs to parents in the form of daycare and reduced work hours to take care of their children.
It is time to put a stop to this. It is time our newspaper take some measures to quash all this. I’m starting to think about pulling out of Marysville. There are better mannered folks in the snobville of Mill Creek!
