It would appear that John Slusher, in his letter complaining about Gov. Bush not resigning before running for president, conveniently neglected to mention one thing (“George W. Bush: Drew pay during campaign,” Nov. 26). Gov. Bush’s opponent in this election was also gainfully employed as a government employee and, as I recall, did not resign from his position in order to run for president. It would appear that Mr. Slusher has one standard for Republicans and another (apparently a lower one) for Democrats. This is just another example of a disgruntled – and ill-informed – Democrat.
