Thank you for your Friday article on the shared activities of four churches in Monroe (“Strength in numbers.”) We are excited about our opportunities to do mission work together. However, you did a serious disservice when you erroneously created an impression that gays and lesbians might not be welcome to worship in our church. The mistake is particularly unfortunate coming as it did on Easter Week. In fact, gays and lesbians do worship in Morning Star Lutheran Church, thank God, and they are most welcome.
