As a World War II Navy vet, I attended the Veterans Day thank you at Naval Station Everett. The friendship and hospitality shown to us by all the officers and enlisted men and women of Naval Station Everett was far beyond the call of duty.
It is we the veterans who owe all of them a great big “thank you,” and all of the city of Everett, no – the entire nation – should be so proud and grateful for the fine young people of Naval Station Everett who are so devoted to their service to our country. I just had to convey my personal thank you to them publicly.
