FUN (Fans United for NASCAR): Its name and its recent “poll” of 350 people accurately describes itself. Who doesn’t want to have fun? We live in a society that tends to think fun is its birthright no matter what the cost. Fun is great in its right time and place, but I wouldn’t call anything fun that negatively affects the welfare of an environment and a people. Yes, it may be fun today until the total price in dollars and environmental and human impacts comes due tomorrow.
