Allegations against doctor don’t square with doctor I know

I am conflicted regarding this situation but must respond from what I know.

Dr. James Grierson was my doctor for many years at Skagit Regional Clinic in Stanwood.

He was, by far, the best primary doctor I have had: Caring, understanding, thoughtful, reasonable. I am disappointed in the recent one-sided story in The Herald (“Marysville doctor suspended, sued over sex with Providence patient,” The Herald, Jan. 20).

Yes, it was a mistake to have an affair with a patient. You paint Grierson as the bad guy. The Herald certainly could have produced a better picture of Grierson. You found the most creepy one to publish.

Again, I am not condoning his actions, but please know Grierson is a good man who made a terrible mistake. He is not a creepy seducer that your reporter makes him out to be. There are two sides to this story.
