I’m beginning to wonder just who is looking after the best interests of the citizens of this republic. It certainly isn’t our elected representatives in the House and Senate.
A 13-story Islamic Center and Mosque is being constructed at Ground Zero in New York. How on earth can this be allowed to take place? Such a travesty is an insult to the 3,000 people who were slaughtered on Sept. 11, 2001.
I’d like to know the thought process of those in government who allowed this disgrace to happen in the first place. Should this center and mosque be allowed to be completed it will be a reminder forever of the thousands of people who perished on that fateful September day.
Furthermore, Islam boasts that its “religion” will never assimilate into our American way of life. Yet, we are allowing them to build a $100 million monument near this hallowed Ground Zero. This will be the ultimate slap in the face to all who lost loved ones, as well as the survivors of this terrorist atrocity. Political correctness be damned, the American public has a right to be outraged and to make certain their elected officials know their feelings. It’s not too late for public opinion to put a halt to this madness.
Would you believe these people have the gall to “dedicate” this center and mosque on, you guessed it, Sept. 11, 2011, the 10th anniversary of the devastating attack on America?
I have to ask: Where is the public outcry?
