Better get the jumbo popcorn: To celebrate the Oscars, Loews Woodinville 12 has scheduled a marathon of all five films nominated for best picture on Feb. 21.
A similar festival screening of the Razzie’s Worst Picture Nominees for 2008, which include Paris Hilton’s “The Hottie &The Nottie,” and Mike Myers’ “The Love Guru,” was also planned but was shut down by the Justice Department as a violation of new standards against harsh interrogation techniques.
Any color you like as long as it’s black: Makers of clothing and household items are trying to hold down costs by limiting choices in color and style of their products.
So next time you’re shopping for a new dress or suit, you may notice: Black really is the new red. And blue. And green. And brown. And purple.
Fun for the whole family: A Smugglers board game tournament is set for Thursday at an Everett espresso shop. The game, a simulation of drug trafficking, awards points for successful smuggling.
The tournament winner gets $50 in prize money. Losers get 10 to 20 years at the Monroe reformatory.
