The “Angel of the Winds” billboard sign located on northbound I-5 is a major distraction to motorists. The sign is posted on the side of a semi-trailer mounted on large cement blocks with a propane tank beside it to power the lights. The beautiful Stilliguamish River is right behind it and not as visible as in the past. Also, it is in an area that is prone to flooding. What happens if the propane tank floats down the river? I don’t know who owns the land but doubt that it is owned by the tribe. The sign really needs to be removed – there are no other billboard signs at all in that area.
