Regarding the May 11 article, “State law exempts Marysville from election requirement on deal with PUD“:
Marysville, let’s give the residents in the Sunnyside area north of Soper Hill the opportunity to vote on who will provide water for our area.
We didn’t have a vote in the recent annexation of our area and now you won’t let us vote on who provides water for our area. I, for one, would like to see the PUD provide our water, not the city of Marysville.
I don’t like not having a choice in these decisions Marysville makes. Let’s be fair and give us a choice!
State law requires the final deal be approved by voters in the entire utility district!
