While watching the playoffs for the teams that would go to the Super Bowl, I was a little dismayed to see that there is a certain bit of racism still left in our country today. I was shocked to hear the announcers ask the coaches what it felt like to be the first African Americans to be able to coach in the Super Bowl.
How could anyone be so stupid was my first thought, where was the “Congratulations coach, you’ve done a great job getting your team here and now good luck in the Super Bowl!” Not only did they ask them that, it was practically the first thing out of their mouth. No wonder we have so many problems with our youth today. I was glad to hear the coaches ignore that as best they could. At least they showed some class.
Thank you for letting me get this off my chest, it is time people stood up and accepted the fact that we are all created equal and color of a person’s skin means absolutely nothing, only the accomplishments – whether black, white or green!
