Regarding Saturday’s Smokey Point rally in support of our troops: At one point, the Washington State Patrol estimated the crowd to be 1,800 people. Why was this story buried the next day on page B3 of The Herald? (“Troop support rally draws hundreds.”) Yet, you give front-page headlines to the anti-war crowd. What gives?
Is The Herald biased against the “support our troops” crowd? We were told by the WSP to stay off the overpass, yet according to Julie Muhlstein’s Sunday column, the Everett Peace Action joins other regional groups on vigils in I-5 overpass rallies (“Lysistrata project aims at thwarting Iraq war”). Are they being fined?
