Regarding the Jan. 9 letter about the new meth laws, “Ineffective measure only overreaches”:
I can assure people that anything done to impede the ease of obtaining the ingredients used to make meth will impact the local “Beavis/Butt-head’ lab people. The people who whine about how sick they are due to the use of meth are not willing to put the stuff down and find a better way to live. The want a cure, this means they are sick, this absolves them of owning the action? Where is the locus of control?
Feeling good is not something you should be getting from a glass pipe or a needle, one has to unlearn the habits and learn some good ones to take up the day.
Take the financial gain out of meth from the local lab and you strangle the market, making it a federal issue to stop the import of it.
Take away the match and you have less fire. Take away the payoff for this crime and you stop both crime and criminals.
