Two important events involving the Stanwood School District are happening in May. First, May 7-13 is School Staff Appreciation Week. Second is the May 16 vote on two facility bond and one technology levy proposals for the district.
We encourage everyone to show their appreciation for the teachers and support staff at their children’s schools. Everyone deserves (and everyone appreciates) a pat on the back for work well done. You may call and leave voicemails, preferably after school hours on individual staff’s phone. Please dial the district voicemail at 360-629-1499 then # then 555 to find the appropriate extension and voicemail box. Let them know you appreciate their work.
The May 16 vote for two facility bonds and one technology levy are extremely important to the continued success of education in our Stanwood School District. The strength and character of our graduates represent our future. It is everyone’s responsibility to support our students in their educational programs and facilities. These proposals have been developed from a broad base of planning. This included both facility and educational program studies over the past several years, business and community meetings, town hall meetings and community wide surveys. The proposals are well planned and deserve your vote of support on May 16.
