Arson was a crime against all of us

Regarding the arson at the Pakistani market in Everett: I don’t know who the arsonists are and I don’t care. But they are going to know who I am.

I am an American. I love my country. Having said that, you only have to go back two generations within my family to find immigrants. Both of my grandparents immigrated from Finland in 1896.

The arsonists have chosen to attack me personally by torching this Pakistani store. I do not know these people yet, but I will soon. I take this arson as a personal affront – an affront to me and an affront to my nation.

The arsonists have done a cowardly and an indecent act. God help them.
