Regarding the protests during the national anthem: I am a veteran of the U.S. Army, Vietnam era, 1969-71. When I was inducted, I swore to defend the U.S. Constitution of the United States from enemies, both foreign and domestic. Freedom of speech is the First Amendment, and in my book, peaceful quiet protest by anyone is free speech loud and clear. Interestingly enough, I can’t find any online web petitions so that, as a veteran, I can support free speech. Not a good sign.
