The terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon were so well-planned and successful that it seems to me some very serious thought should be given the following. The president should no longer address a joint session of Congress which would include all of his cabinet, the Joint Chiefs of Staff and all the highest ranking officers of our armed services as well as Congress itself being in attendance. What a golden opportunity for those terrorists to devastate the country. What could or would we do then, with all our leaders gone?
This may seem farfetched, but wasn’t that strike we suffered almost equally farfetched before it happened? Conceivably just such a strike as I outlined could be in the planning stage. We can and we must prevent it’s happening.
