I am writing to express my support for the reelection of state Rep. Barbara Bailey. As a retired superintendent of schools, I have been very impressed with her stand on educational issues. She has shown a willingness to represent the forgotten people in the educational process – the parents. Too often teacher unions backed with money from their dues-paying members seem more concerned with teacher salaries, perks and the like, than with the students and their parents. We need strong legislators who are able to support education in a positive manner. Barbara and her philosophy is exactly what is needed in Olympia.
