The Herald’s Christina Harper wrote an article in the Sept. 19 edition about the hair-loss disease called alopecia areata (“Head on: Women confront hair-loss disease with no known cause or cure”). Our first impression of Rietta Costa’s picture without her wig was, “WOW!”
What a gorgeous woman! We feel that in public Rietta would definitely be a head-turner, not because people would think she was a “freak,” but because she is absolutely beautiful. We hope that Rietta and others with this unique physical feature will think about who they really are when they look in the mirror and learn to be comfortable with themselves in public. You certainly have nothing to hide and you have a very special beauty that you need to share with the world. Thank you for having your picture taken for the article.
