Happiness is a choice that begins in the mind. Feelings stem from thoughts, and good feelings are a result of pleasant thoughts. It is incredibly simple to let go of bad feeling thoughts and replace them with better feeling ones.
A very large part of life takes place in the mind, so the mind is incredibly powerful. The mind dictates perceptions, beliefs, patterns of thought, etc. However, we all have complete control of what we choose to think about. If a thought is unpleasant, it will create negative emotion. If a thought is pleasant, it will create positive emotion.
Choosing better feeling thoughts isn’t about hiding in a bubble. It is, however, purposefully deciding what we are consumed by. I would much rather be inundated with good feeling thoughts than worrisome thoughts. Life is short, so why waste it away with stress or worry? Dream, smile, love, connect, be. Life is now, enjoy it!
