Last Friday, I met a man who quite possibly permanently changed my views on the way our government should be run. This was at the state Republican Convention, a loud, bustling, exhilarating event filled with everyone from farmers to businessmen to homemakers. This man, whose name most of us had never heard of (thanks to the media) until last week, gave a speech that completely roused, strengthened, enthralled and united the crowd of stressed delegates, a feat no other candidate that day was able to accomplish.
His name is Shahram Hadian, and he is running to be our next governor of Washington. He is a true conservative, the only real Republican in this race (a fact we all found out upon hearing Rob McKenna’s declaration that day … (cue the chirpin’ crickets). He is a strong leader and a firm believer in every constitutional principle, and his platform reflects the truth that we are One Nation Under God, a fact we cannot afford to compromise in this critical time. We are headed for a moral, economic and security crisis, and Mr. Hadian is the only man who I fully trust to lead us out. And trust is a precious thing to use these days.
